Treasures Antiques, Collectables & MORE!, located at 106 Ponemah Road in Amherst, NH will be hosting their 27th Annual Holiday Open House and Kitty Angels Fall Fundraising weekend on November 3rd and 4th. Festivities for the weekend will run both days from 10AM till 5PM and includes Holiday inspired shopping, refreshments and raffles.
This event has been a mainstay in the community since its inception, back in 1991. Kitty Angels, Inc. will be on site with several kitties for adoption, and the Amherst Animal Hospital, who has worked alongside Kitty Angels for decades, and has cared for some of worst cases of critically ill or injured kitties will also be on hand.
For those who do not know, Kitty Angels, Inc. is a no-kill cat shelter entirely made up of all unpaid volunteers and is dedicated to rescuing stray and abandoned cats and furnishing them with treatment for injuries or other health issues. These cats are then placed into life-long, loving “forever homes” with compatible owners. All necessary steps are taken to insure the well being of the cats, including spaying and neutering and providing rabies, distemper and other necessary vaccinations. They are a non-profit, charitable corporation and all donations are fully tax-deductible with every penny of each donation going directly to the care of these cats.
This Holiday and Fundraising event is pet and kid friendly and will offer special sales, inside and out, including, but not limited to, vintage Christmas and Holiday decorative items, various jewelry, soaps and other eclectic items for your personal use or gift giving. There will be Herbal Health demos by Rivka Schwartz, a petting zoo and pony rides by Mapledell Farms of Townsend, MA. Some of the long time supporting vendors will include: Sillie Puffs, a gourmet grill team offering hot & cold food delights. Specialty jewelry designer Karen Files, LuLaRoe, Vinyl Revival, Dusty Finds, Pet Supplies Plus, Scroll & Tole, Break Free 603, Pet Pawlicy, The Spirit of Cacao, Arctic Bark, Heart’s Design Jewelry, NewPro, Clear Choice Home Improvements , Artist Samantha Michalides, and Fiber Artist Eve Huston.
Treasures will also be offering a number of fun and exciting raffles, with prizes donated by local and national businesses, including a “chainsaw sculptured owl with baby” made from a single pine tree trunk and donated by Northstar Sculptures [Sara, Chainsaw Chix] of New York. Several cat related items, jewelry, specialty food packages, sports memorabilia and an assortment of other fun and exciting prizes will be raffled as well.
If you’d like to help Kitty Angels but cannot make a monetary donation at this time, material donations are always happily accepted during the course of the year, such as postage stamps, cat food (both dry and canned), kitty litter (non-scoopable preferred, but any litter is good litter), medical supplies, bedding (clean towels, blankets, quilts, clean denim and corduroy, quilted bedspreads), carriers, cleaning supplies including bleach, laundry detergent and paper towels, photocopy paper, cat toys and cat furniture as well as trash bags and gift cards.
